The Sixth Dalai Lama was a fascinating figure who embraced life with unparalleled passion, devoting himself to his passions for archery, alcohol, and women, while eschewing the path of complete monastic vows. Renowned for his captivating verses and melodies, he left behind a remarkable legacy of love and erotic poetry that continues to resonate with audiences to this day. Despite his unconventional lifestyle, Tsangyang Gyatso was cherished by many, his words serving as a testament to the depth of human emotions and experiences.
BIOS
Lynne Lawner is an American fine art photographer and award-winning poet who lived many years in Rome. She now resides in Manhattan. Her photographs, broadly exhibited, are in important private collections. She has participated several times in the MIA International Photography Fair, Milan, organized by her curator Fabio Castelli. Recently her visual work has been featured in the international photography journal Musée Magazine (April, 2021). Collections of Lawner’s poetry have appeared from Atlantic Monthly Press and Harper and Row, while her books on art have been published by Rizzoli, Longanesi, Harry N. Abrams, and other houses. She has also written books on socio-political subjects and translated European poetry and prose.
Tierra del Fuego was born in the midst of a hot New York City summer, 2017. Travels and trips all came together in the form of songs, so it was that Elizabeth Hart (Psychic Ills) and Argentinean producer Iván Diaz Mathé (Nairobi) started collaborating. Recordings and shows have been shapping the story of the band, creating a true blend of cultures and styles. Their first álbum, recorded between New York, Texas and Buenos Aires “Dinner for Ghosts” is a mx of rock and country. Standing on the edge of modern civilization, staring at the abyss.
