Building on the introductory session in September, participants are invited—both as individuals and as a group—to experience embodied awareness through vocalization in its many forms, poetic experimentation and expression, and listening. Her creative practice spans experimental opera, performance, poetry, studio recordings, installation, sculpture, painting, and drawing. A participant in the 79th Whitney Biennial (2019) and a Visual Arts Fellow at Harvard’s Radcliffe Institute (2020–2021), her work has also been presented internationally at Brief Histories, The Kitchen, MoMA PS1, the New Museum, SculptureCenter, and the Swiss Institute. She has been an artist in residence at NYU’s 80WSE Gallery, the Chinati Foundation, Villa Empain, the Watermill Center, and Yaddo.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSahra began practicing meditation and mindfulness in 2003 as a student of Tibetan Buddhism. She is a psychotherapist in community mental health in Upstate New York and a mindfulness coach.
