Within this session, participants are invited — as both individuals and as a group — to cultivate presence and creativity through both vocalization in its many forms and also through listening. This VOICE\/S session includes an introduction, contemplative prompts, the experiential practice, and a closing. Her creative practice spans experimental opera, performance, poetry, studio recordings, installation, sculpture, painting, and drawing. A participant in the 79th Whitney Biennial (2019) and a Visual Arts Fellow at Harvard’s Radcliffe Institute (2020–2021), her work has also been presented internationally at Brief Histories, The Kitchen, MoMA PS1, the New Museum, SculptureCenter, and the Swiss Institute. She has been an artist in residence at NYU’s 80WSE Gallery, the Chinati Foundation, Villa Empain, the Watermill Center, and Yaddo.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSahra began practicing meditation and mindfulness in 2003 as a student of Tibetan Buddhism.
